custom_margin=&#8221;0px|0px|0px|0px|false|false&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;0px|0px|13px|0px|false|false&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Valdarno, like most of Tuscany, is characterized by the presence of olive trees and without\u00a0 this ancient plant we could certainly not speak of Tuscany landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The history of the olive tree has always been linked to man<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: stories, sacred texts and archaeological finds date its<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> cultivation to at least 6000 years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The cultivation of olive trees spread thanks to the work of men and monks and the production of oil in Tuscany has been attested at least since the seventh century<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.C. ;<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in fact the olive trees clinging to the slopes on the terraces supported by dry stone walls, declared<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a<\/span><b> World Heritage Site<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, constitute the identity of a unique landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The olive harvesting<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, from the end of October to the end of November, represents a special event for the whole Valdarno: men and women are involved, struggling with nets, stairs and rakes, in a ritual related to the truest<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rural tradition widespread in our territory.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, in addition to the numerous olive farms, many people cultivate their own olive grove, just to have &#8220;the oil for home&#8221; , a tradition that contributes to preserve and maintain a landscape that is unique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And then the crusher, the pressing and finally the oil, our <\/span><b>green gold.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The extra virgin olive oil produced in Valdarno is crushed with <\/span><b>the best extraction techniques<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has <\/span><b>excellent organoleptic properties<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an intense green color, sometimes embellished by <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">iridescent golden shades, and a characteristic fruity aroma with hints of artichoke and fresh grass and<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">taste notes of bitter and spicy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every Valdarno farmer keeps and produces his own oil\u00a0 and carefully controls the entire production process, from the\u00a0 management of the olive groves to the harvesting of the fruit, from the pressing,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">extraction, bottling and proper preservation of the product.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Processes carried out with <\/span><b>the<\/b> <b>maximum care and passion f<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rom wise hands.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, if we were to ask what is the value of a bottle of<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">oil of the territory, we can only answer: priceless.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each drop contains a thousand-year-old history, passion, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tradition, innovation, work, respect for the territory and the environment and an unmistakable note of<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuscany: the landscape and the character of a great land.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Valdarno, like most of Tuscany, is characterized by the presence of olive trees and without\u00a0 this ancient plant we could certainly not speak of Tuscany landscape.
